While I'm here

I'm using this space to post personal observations. That is, after all, what artists do. Some do it in paint, some in pencil, some in dance, some with instruments. I am joining those who dance in word.

All of my life I have been the constant observer. My perspective may be like your's or it may be quite different. I am sharing what I see with you and hope you will share with me what you see. From time to time one or the other of us my change our point of view. From time to time we will just accept seeing things differently.

I believe our founding fathers (and mothers for that matter), believed we should tolerate one another. Somehow, we have moved into the concept we should love one another. While that may be the Christian philosphy, it is decidedly un-American. Toleration is all they asked, and often all I am prepared to do. While here, that is all Iask of you.

Agree whole-heartedly when you can Disagree as forcefully as you can. In the end, we can be friends as long as we both can embrace the idea of peaceful tolerance.
